Teenage girls chop off hair for cancer charity

Two Top Valley Academy students raised more than £800 when they had their Rapunzel-esque hair snipped for charity.The 13-year-olds had about 20 inches trimmed off the end of their treasured manes to support children with cancer. The girls,  braved the hairdresser's scissors after hearing about the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for seriously-ill children who have lost their hair during chemotherapy.

Top Valley Academy Rebuild - Update

BUILDING START JUST FOUR MONTHS AWAY!

Subject to final Planning Approval, a start to the re-building of Top Valley Academy is just four months away,  with Carillion Equitix set to begin on site as soon as August 2015. 

Five years on from the cancellation of the previous building programme, a complete rebuild of the current school buildings is now agreed.

Peter Brown, Top Valley Academy Principal said,"After a long struggle, our students will finally get what they deserve: a building fit for purpose with modern resources and facilities. It puts a smile on all our faces!"

The building will be ready in September 2017.
